“Hawleys Gardens is an excellent example of a quality family housing development which is being built on a brownfield site to regenerate and enhance the local community. It mirrors everything that Peter would have wanted to ensure where determining planning applications in his earlier role of Chairman of the Planning Committee. It also complements the massive local regeneration work which Peter spearheaded to transform the local area.”
The Councillor was very well respected within the Thornton local area, so we are honoured to be able to pay our respects by naming this new community in his honour. We hope that the forthcoming new residents of this development enjoy the area as much as the Councillor did.
