Local swimming club stays afloat

This summer we have been supporting Penketh Swimming Club.

Penketh Swimming Club, which operates from the Penketh Pool & Community Centre, is a voluntary organisation which aims to teach swimming techniques and water safety to local children.

Our support will enable the swimming club to purchase trophies to award the children with throughout the year.

Geoff Fellows, Chairman of Penketh Swimming Club, comments: “We were delighted to hear that the team at David Wilson Homes North West were happy to support our club.

“Warrington is an area surrounded by water, such as canals, streams, rivers, lakes and duck ponds, so it’s important that local children learn the basic water safety skills required to avoid dangerous situations, and all funding helps to enable us to do this.

“We’d like to thank the team at David Wilson Homes North West for their generous donation.”

Graham Swann, managing director at David Wilson Homes North West, comments: “We are happy to support Penketh Swimming Club. We are always keen to support the local community, and the swimming club was a great way to provide help to such a worthwhile organisation.

“We look forward to seeing the swimming club grow in the future.”
