David Wilson Homes launches new apprenticeship scheme

We are pleased to announce the launches of our new apprenticeship scheme, which gives local NVQ students in Liverpool the chance to gain firsthand experience of working in the construction industry.

We have launched the initiative in partnership with Liverpool City Council and North Liverpool Regeneration Company, to offer local NVQ students an opportunity to secure an apprenticeship in their chosen trade on a Housing Market Renewal site in North Liverpool.

Each student must complete a 16 week work experience placement, which provides them with hands on experience and put the skills they have learnt into practice.

We are delighted to be involved in the apprenticeship scheme launches which not only provides work for young people from Liverpool, but also enables them to help to build their local community.

Nicola Kelly, from North Liverpool Regeneration Company says: “The partnership will generate and continue to create ‘real life’ work experience for apprentices and help them gain the relevant skills that they require to become a fully qualified trades person. NLRCo see the strength of the partnership as supporting and creating employment opportunities for local young people within the construction industry and also supporting them to gain further qualification and to help make their future careers more stainable for the future.”
